broccoli casserole

mom’s recipe


4 cups broccoli

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese

1 cup crushed ritz crackers

salt and pepper

preheat oven to 375 degrees. boil broccoli for 10-15 minutes until it has a nice green color.  drain and place in a big mixing bowl.  stir/cut broccoli until it is in bite size pieces (the broccoli should be tender enough where it will fall apart when mixing in bowl).  pour cream of mushroom soup and cheese into bowl with broccoli and mix throughly.  place mixture in greased baking dish.  top with a little more cheese and crushed ritz crackers.  bake for 40 minutes and enjoy!

    You know, broccoli is one of my favourite veges, but I always just steam it for a few minutes then gobble it up. But cheese is also one of my favourite foods, and somehow you never go wrong with a cheese dish. I must try this sometime. Thank you for sharing!

    • Me too! Broccoli is by far my favorite vegetables. This recipe has been a family staple forever. Every time I go to my parents house for dinner, my mom knows that I want broccoli casserole and she always has it for me :)
