1 cup canned pumpkin

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

3/4 cup canola oil

1 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

3/4 cup chocolate chips

preheat oven to 350 degrees.  in a bowl, beat together eggs, oil, and sugar.  add pumpkin and continue mixing until incorporated.  in a separate bowl, mix together flour, salt, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice.  add dry mixture to wet mixture a little at a time while mixer is on.  after completely mixed, fold in chocolate chips.  pour mixture into a greased bread loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes.  test with a toothpick to make sure bread is cooking all the way through.  I love cooking with pumpkin during the fall!!

  1. that looks so yummy!

  2. Nice recipe. Good for a fall day. I was surprised how much a can of pumpkin can do. The first time I heard of pumpkin and chocolate it sounded gross but it’s so moist and rich like banana bread.
