herbed butter steak

my own recipe

herbed butter:

  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • bunch of fresh basil, finely chopped

in a bowl, add butter, garlic, lime, and basil and mix until incorporated.  take a piece of plastic wrap (you can cut a baggie and make flat if you do not have plastic wrap) and scoop mixture on it.  roll the butter up and mold it so it looks like a stick or log of butter.  place in refrigerator and let harden again.  once steak is cooked, cut a tbsp of butter and serve on top of steak!



  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • bobby’s butt rub (mixture of salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic salt, celery salt, white pepper, and paprika)

heat grill to medium to high heat.  rub olive oil on steaks and coat with butt rub.  place steaks on grill and cook on both sides for about 4 minutes.  serve with herbed butter on top!
