bacon & peach baked brie

bacon & peach baked brie

my own recipe

IMG_8334.PNG-1

1 8oz brie round

1 sheet puff pasty, thawed

2 slices of cooked {crispy} bacon, chopped

5 tbsp peach preserves

hand full of basil leaves, sliced thinly

1 egg

2 apples {sliced} & bread rounds for serving (you can use any type of cracker you would like too!)

preheat oven to 425 degrees.  grease a piece of foil to put in the baking sheet to prevent sticking.  unroll puff pastry sheet on foil and place brie round in the middle.  top the brie with 3 tbsp of the peach preserves, then 1 strip of the chopped bacon, and some basil slices.

take a corner and start bundling the brie up so it is completely covered.

whisk the egg in a bowl and brush on top of the brie to create a golden brown crust.  bake the brie for about 20 minutes.  let cool for about 5 minutes then top with the remaining 2 tbsp of the peach preserves, crushed bacon and basil slices.  serve with sliced apples and small bread rounds!  this appetizer is great because you can use any flavors of preserves and herbs you want!
