salmon avocado burgers

my own recipe


cabbage slaw:

1/2 head red cabbage, chopped

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 spicy brown mustard

3 tbsp Sriracha

salt & pepper

mix all ingredients in a bowl and let sit in the refrigerator to marinate for about 2 hours before serving.


1 lb salmon filet

2 avocados, diced

3 sprigs chopped green onion

1/2 red onion, diced

1/2 cup panko bread crumbs

1 egg

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp garlic powder

salt & pepper

in a bowl, combine all ingredients and let sit for 30 minutes in refrigerator to marinate.  remove from refrigerator and form into 6 patties and place on baking sheet.  place back in fridge until ready to cook.  heat grill to medium to high heat and spray with cooking spray.  place the patty on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, creating a nice crust.  when burgers are almost done, toast your bread of choice to get a nice bun that will stand up to this burger!  remove burger and bun from grill and begin to assemble burger with slaw!
