naan dough
1 cup warm water
2 tbsp honey
1 .25 ounce package active dry yeast
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg

in a bowl, whisk together warm water and honey until honey dissolves. add active dry yeast and stir until combined. let sit for 5 to 10 minutes until the yeast has become foamy. add the dough attachment to kitchen aid mixer and add yeast mixture to kitchen aid bowl. turn on low speed and slowly add flour, baking powder, yogurt, and egg. turn up speed and let mix for about 3 minutes. remove the dough from the bowl and form into a ball. oil the bowl and add the ball of dough back into the oiled bowl. cover with a damp paper towel and let sit for an hour until dough rises to about double its size. when dough has risen, cut into 4 pieces and roll out each piece to create four different pizza crusts. heat oven to 400 degrees to begin pizza process.

  1. These look great! I shared a Naan flatbread pizza recipe today too. Great minds think alike!

  2. I tried this, with my own home made naan bread. Will hopefully add the details soon

  3. hottiebiscotti

    Such a good idea!!

  4. That’s looks awesome. I want to try this.

  5. I just made 12 of these and put them in my freezer. I was given a bag of Naan like bread at the food bank. There was no name of what bread it was but was a donation from a local baker. I told everyone I thought it was Naan but know one else wanted it. I brought it home last week and made pizzas out of it. Any of the Asian flat breads make great quick pizzas.

    Thanks for sharing this.

  6. Wow! I actually have a pic and recipe of the same thing! (haven’t posted it yet though) Naan bread makes for the best pizza crust:p
